Dr. Lolita Melhado completed her nursing research doctorate at the University of Central Florida. She specializes in palliative care and is currently the Vice President of Clinical Programs at One Accord Health. Dr. Melhado has implemented palliative care consultation services in various settings across the United States. She is highly respected as a national leader, educator, researcher, and author in the field of palliative care. Additionally, she has developed an evidence-based solution to help healthcare professionals conduct advance care planning conversations. Dr. Melhado has contributed to curriculum development at the Center to Advance Palliative Care and actively participates in local, state, and national organizations to advance primary palliative care. She is a former Assistant Professor and remains dedicated to mentoring nurses and promoting evidence-based practice.
